Students at Apalachee High School in northern Georgia stood in a circle and prayed together after being evacuated over a deadly shooting, harrowing footage shows. More than 40 students were photographed holding hands and standing in a ring on the school’s football field Wednesday. The students had their heads bowed, and appeared to be praying, according to images captured by WSB-TV.

Video posted online showed Wine surrounded by followers who yelled that he had been shot before some supported him into a car. It was not immediately clear whether he was hit by a live bullet or a tear gas projectile. Images shared by his close associates showed a bleeding wound below the left knee.
